Midler

Midler is the last of DIO's assassins that the heroes encounter before entering Egypt. She is a Stand user, and her High Priestess attacks the group as they travel by submarine in the Red Sea.

== Appearance ==

Midler is approximately 23 years old, stands at 5'6" (168 cm), and weighs around 121 lbs (55 kg).

Midler's appearance is mostly obscured within the original story; she is described as beautiful. She appears as a woman of average height and build with long hair. Polnareff notes that her face becomes unbearable to look at after Jotaro breaks all of High Priestess's teeth.

In Heritage for the Future, Midler is depicted as a slim woman with fair skin, blue eyes, and long magenta hair. She wears a revealing outfit inspired by a belly dancer, consisting of a yellow headpiece adorned with blue stars and a matching yellow veil covering her mouth. Her attire includes a blue bra, a yellow and blue waist-wrap, and multiple accessories such as earrings, high heels, and decorative bands on her wrists, shoulders, thighs, and ankles.

== Personality ==

Midler is a ruthless mercenary of DIO who does not hesitate to kill the Joestar Group with High Priestess, sinking their submarine and attempting to kill them directly with her Stand. She tends to laugh when she injures any of them. She is clever with her Stand, nearly killing both Polnareff and Jotaro.

Despite her brutality, Midler is romantic and flirtatious, as she flippantly laments that she has to kill Jotaro, who is her kind of guy. She even seems somewhat touched by Jotaro's lie that he likes her. However, she is easily angered by men who lie about being attracted to her.

== Trivia ==

- When Capcom produced JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Heritage for the Future, they wanted to use Midler. However, as her face was never shown, they asked Hirohiko Araki to redesign her into something like a belly dancer. Since then, as shown in the JOJO A-GO!GO! artbook, this new look became her standard appearance, even though the anime stayed true to her incognito origins, like in the original manga. Most of the in-game art is based on Yukako Yamagishi, likely because Araki was working on Diamond is Unbreakable at the time. Some of her in-game quotes are originally said by Mariah. - Midler is one of the few Stand users in Stardust Crusaders whose actual face is never clearly shown in the original manga. - Her Stand, High Priestess, is one of the few Stands capable of assimilating and controlling inorganic material, making it extremely versatile compared to many other enemy Stands in Part 3. - Despite being a minor antagonist, Midler’s redesign for the Capcom game made her significantly more recognizable and popular among fans than her original manga appearance. - Midler is the last of DIO’s assassins encountered by the Joestar Group before they reach Egypt. - In both the manga and anime, her defeat is indirectly shown through damage reflected from High Priestess, leaving her true appearance largely to the audience’s imagination.
